How to Fix TPM 20 Device Issues in Windows 7

Troubleshooting TPM 20 Errors

If you're experiencing issues with the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 20 device in Windows 7, you can apply a Microsoft hotfix to resolve the problem. The hotfix is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7.

For Windows 7 32-bit:

Unfortunately, there is no 32-bit driver available for the TPM 20 device in Windows 7. You will need to upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit in order to use this device.

For Windows 7 64-bit:

1. Download the Microsoft hotfix for the TPM 20 device. 2. Run the hotfix and follow the prompts to install it. 3. Restart your computer.

After installing the hotfix, the TPM 20 device should be recognized by Windows 7 and the exclamation point in Device Manager should disappear.
